As with all of SpeedFactory Racing’s titanium products, Cam Gear Stud Kits are made from ultra-strong Ti-6Al-4V titanium; they are lightweight and corrosion resistant. Not only are these made from a superior material, but they improve upon the design of the factory cam gear bolts.
These studs are made with a low-profile nipple that provides maximum thread engagement inside the camshaft itself, 23% more than OEM to be exact. This helps prevent cracking of the keyway, the piece on the end of the camshaft used to align the cam gear, an issue that plagued SpeedFactory’s record setting race cars. Switching the factory bolts out for these Ti studs has proved a simple yet reliable solution, even at the highest level.
This kit features two studs/nuts/washers to accommodate both cams of a DOHC motor. Studs feature a 4mm hex key tip allowing easy installation with an Allen wrench.
